This time Doodlers Anonymous made a contest where the challenge was to hijack a magazine ad and doodle it. The only one rule was not to use a computer to doodle, only markers or paint.
As they say about themselves: “Doodlers Anonymous was founded to celebrate our addiction, and like any other, we’re hooked. The need to draw, sketch, and doodle is constant. We doodle on almost anything we can find — pencil in a moleskine, marker on a napkin, ink on a torn receipt, sharpie on concrete. And we do it habitually — while on hold, in a meeting, during class, or while we should be sleeping. This is a permanent home for spontaneous art. There’s a blog, interviews, themed-submissions and a lot of amusing thoughts on paper.”
On Jan. 31st. Doodlers Anonymous closed their Open Call for their Coloring Book Vol. 2. They put together a coloring book that is not only for children. Adults can also enjoy coloring the 29 drawings provided by different artists. Some of them famous, some of them not yet.
Hello everybody! Welcome to my new website!(before it was www.lovefighters.com)
My name is Esther Molina, I’m from Barcelona and I’ve been living in Japan since 2004. After travelling to japan for holidays a few times I decided to leave my life in Spain and live in Japan. I’m happy to say that even though this was not easy, it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made in my life.
I love to paint with watercolors, write, take macro pictures, go for long walks and feel the nature around me. I adore trees and leaves, the ocean and lighthouses and taking relaxing baths with aroma oils. I really like dolphins and my dream is to swim with them someday. I get a lot of fun out of cooking recipes from different countries, sitting for hours chatting with friends in a cafe enjoying the best cappuccino and traveling to charming places. Lastly, my secret obsession…I am a stationary freak. It’s a serious condition for me… ha, ha, ha! XD
Ever since childhood, I have loved drawing and playing with color. I’ve never been able to control my desire for mixing colors and I decided it was finally time to share my creations ^___^. My first exhibition in Tokyo was in 2011. You can see some of these paintings on my personal blog: www.theunrealworld.net.
I studied IT and graphic design in Barcelona. I work as an announcer, reporter and illustrator at NHK World Radio Japan. I have opened a shop in Etsy. You can find my artwork there; these include cards, paintings and photographs. I hope you will enjoy my work, perhaps it will inspire you, most of all I hope it will make you smile!
